Bridge Program

The Spectrum Bridge Program is a specialized day treatment program tailored for students between the ages of 5 and 21 years old. It is specifically designed to address the needs of those students who experience significant cognitive delays and exhibit challenging behaviors, along with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders (ASD). This program offers a structured environment where students can receive comprehensive support and interventions that are essential for their development and well-being.

Foundation for Learning

The Bridge Program is based on the knowledge that students thrive through direct instruction and hands-on experiences.

  • Elementary Level: Utilizes a diagnostic intervention-based curriculum.

  • Middle School Level: Strikes a balance between academic and functional skills, enabling students to reach their full potential.

  • High School Level: Content becomes increasingly more functional. While there is still a focus on remediation and practice in core subjects, greater emphasis is placed on accommodations and alternative skills to promote independence.

Real-Life Skills

All Bridge students engage in community-based programs that enable them to acquire real-life skills in authentic settings, while also honing their social and communication abilities. Within the Bridge Program, vocational training starts in the early grades and continues until the age of 21, offering opportunities for students to work off-campus at actual employment sites.
