Collaborative Team Teach Approach
Our educators embrace complementary roles, collaborating effectively to share the responsibility of problem-solving and decision-making. Together, they develop and implement Individualized Learning Plans (ILP) for each student, as well as for the class collectively.
Understanding the Instructional Model
The term “instructional model” refers to the framework that outlines teaching strategies, methods, and activities aimed at achieving specific educational goals and objectives. This model is a crucial aspect of the teaching and learning process, providing guidance for reaching desired educational outcomes.
Spectrum Inspire’s Early Intervention program is an all-day, comprehensive initiative designed to implement various evidence-based intervention strategies. It features integrated individual and small group classrooms, employing an applied behavior and educational approach throughout the students’ daily activities.
Assessments
Students at Spectrum Inspire are evaluated through the Early Learner Accomplishment Profile (ELAP) and the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS). These assessments are conducted using a “pairing” method instead of individual testing. This approach enables us to create an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) tailored to each student's unique needs.
Spectrum Inspire’s EI program aims to improve and develop the academic, motor, behavioral, communication, and social skills of our youngest learners. This daily program offers each student the chance to participate in a diverse range of curricula and intervention-focused activities, ensuring that all aspects of a child's learning challenges are effectively addressed.
Early Intervention
Early Intervention (EI) Services are designed for children between 3 and 5 years old and integrated within a full school day. EI Services are accessed through the autism scholarship program or placement by the student’s home school district.
